Le projet d’appui à la massification de la participation politique des femmes aux échéances électorales de 2018 au Cameroun est lancé. L’annonce a été faite le 12 avril dernier, au cours d’une cérémonie que présidait la ministre de la Promotion de la Femme et de la Famille du Cameroun, le Pr Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoa, en présence de Benedikt Madl, chef de la section gouvernance de l’UE-Cameroun.

HIGHLIGHTS
In Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as in the United States, the Zika epidemic has exposed the often hostile policy, programmatic and legal environment women face on issues surrounding pregnancy.
Policymakers’ long-standing failure to prioritize women’s health and autonomy has left women—particularly poor women—in many countries more vulnerable to the consequences of Zika than they would otherwise be.
Policies and resources to support the rights of women to prevent pregnancy, obtain safe abortion care or become a parent and raise a child should be an ongoing priority, rather than something that receives fleeting attention at a moment of acute crisis.

05.19.16 - (PRESS RELEASE) The absolute ban on abortion in the Philippines should be repealed and access to sexual and reproductive health services should be addressed, according to the United Nations Committee against Torture (U.N. CAT). Specifically, the committee called on the government to provide universal access to modern contraception and expressed concern about misinformation on contraception, particularly in Manila.
